Inspiring Life when God is at Work

The Ministry of the Unnoticed, My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers

At times God makes me wonder when people testified that they are inspired through my life stories. There is always a brand new series of exciting journey with God to be told. I thank God that I don’t stick to my past accomplishments or experiences. Why? Because I am moving! Nothing, that is more relieving than realizing that we are moving (upwards, of course) in God.

However, not everyone feels the excitement in moving upwards in God in fact. I found many trapped in their unending personal (selfish) problems. I found many Christians find difficulties to testify God’s greatness in their life or even rejoice in all circumstances. I found many Christian simply go through a “flat” life. No more stories of God’s goodness to be told, well even difficult to recall any indeed. Sad.

Some boast in their past accomplishments. “I was …” pretending to level up their faith status in the eyes of others, but the same old stories has just stuck for YEARS. The question is “Are you progressing?” What we have now is present, not past.

Like what Oswald Chambers warned,

“If you get out of the light you become a sentimental Christian and live on memories, your testimony has a hard, metallic note

Beware of trying to patch up a present refusal to walk in the light by recalling past experiences when you did walk in the light”

Quench not the Spirit, My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers

Walk in His Light

Having an exciting and progressing faith journey with God indeed is the most fantastic treasure ever happens in life. There are always new stories of God’s mighty work in me to be told! It is not knowing that people are inspired through us, that I treasure because it can produce human’s pride and very self-centered. But, knowing that God is with me and is at work is an indescribably joy and honour, friends.

I always admire King David, a man of God’s own heart, and love when Bible states “.. because the LORD Almighty was with him” – 1 Chronicles 11:9

Isn’t it beautiful, friends? When we ended and summarized our life, we conclude that life is beautiful realizing that Someone holds our hand throughout.

Love God. Love Life.

His Wholeness in Our Poverty

August 4, 2009 at 2:41 am (Quiet Time) (, )

This morning I am reminded by God to be humble in front of God always. Though many praises that I received recently in my internship, I don’t want the human nature reigns my heart to be boastful. I’d like to keep myself low and full of poverty in front of God. Allow me to share the message from Oswald Chambers:

As long as you think there is something in you, He cannot choose you because you have ends of your own to serve; but if you have let Him bring you to the end of your self-sufficiency then He can choose you to go with Him to Jerusalem, and that will mean the fulfillment of purposes which He does not discuss with you.

…a good Christian. It is not a question of our equipment but our poverty, not of what we bring with us, but of what God puts into us; not a question of natural virtues of strength of character, knowledge, and experience – all that is no avail in this matter.

The Brave Comradeship of God, My Utmost for His Highest, by Oswald Chambers

Words of God from 1 Corinthians 1:26-30 is a beautiful reminder for our life.

God’s Favour Reigns in My Internship

August 4, 2009 at 2:24 am (Others) ()

Remember somehow on 24th April I pondered about God’s favour for the righteous? On the last Wed fellowship at Song Be, Pastor Prince’s sermon on God’s Favour really wrapped up and concluded what I am was in my internship. God’s favour is so prominent, a preciousgrace that enlightened my journey in Vietnam so beautifully. Indeed extreemly beyond my expectation.

Song Be Big Family

On Thursday (30th July), I had a good chat with my Vice General Director, a wise and spiritual man. We reflected back on what I’ve done in Song Be Golf Resort. He said that I had a favour of God, which guided myself and my journey. I was surprised on how similar his statement as what I pondered. I told him that I acknowledged strongly that I felt His favour greatly in me.

“X (another intern) is a total opposite of you,” he said. “Because you have the favour of God, she has not. All she needs is Jesus.” I stunned, amazed by how significant this God’s favour could bring me that far to shine.

I am well-loved by my colleagues, I was enabled to satisfy demands of various bosses who has their own style, all doors for learning are greatly provided which I really love in exploring it, my secondary talents were channeled nicely and impressed others. I could not express how abundant His favour in me. All works of my hands were really blessed by God.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers” – Psalm 1:3

I asked VGD, treating him like a spiritual advisor,What do you think I should do in the future? What is suitable for me?” He said, “You got all the qualifications in you. Keep your attitude right and follow Jesus. You can do everything.” His elaborated praises did not make my head got bigger, but simply grateful how powerful God has impacted and reigned in my life remembering I was really nothing in the past.

And praises from a perfectionist VGD, who just know me for 5 months, was such a HUGE assurance from God. He has made me a capable person! He has changed me! I realize what we need to shine is not our talents, great character, good deeds, strong leadership, but GOD alone ,who places it steadily and naturally.

I shared with him my burden and ministry. He was as excited as me throwing me ideas in improving my ministry. Really insightful! After sharing his ideas, he said “Wow, exciting ya?” What an encouragement that a person is really excited for my future. What about me? I should be MORE than excited anticipating great perfect plan of God in my life.

Favour. Assurance. Encouragement.

I closed a chapter of my life in Vietnam with His abundant goodness.

What else I should ask for more rather than to express my BIG thank you to the Owner of my life.

Thanks to Mr ST Low, who has been a great blessing for me. God bless you!
