Nothing Between My Soul and the Savior
Neville Peter – Nothing Between My Soul and Savior
Nothing between my soul and the Savior,
Naught of this world’s delusive dream;
I have renounced all sinful pleasure;
Jesus is mine, there’s nothing between.
Nothing between my soul and the Savior,
So that His blessed face may be seen;
Nothing preventing the least of His favor,
Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.
Nothing between, like worldly pleasure;
Habits of life, though harmless they seem,
Must not my heart from Him e’er sever;
He is my all, there’s nothing between
Nothing between, like pride or station;
Self-life or friends shall not intervene;
Though it may cost me much tribulation,
I am resolved; there’s nothing between.
Nothing between, e’en many hard trials,
Though the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self-denial,
I’ll triumph at last, with nothing between.
“There is only one relationship that matters, and that is your personal relationship to a personal Redeemer and Lord. Let everything else go, but maintain that at all costs, and God will fulfill His purpose through your life. One individual life may be of priceless value to God’s purposes, and yours may be that life.” – Oswald Chambers-
And Lord, let nothing between..

Greetings from Wordwise Hymns. Thanks for posting Pastor Tindley’s fine gospel song. I posted an article on it myself this morning.
As to the quotation from Oswald Chambers… Well, I think I know what he means, but to say “there is only one relationship that matters” is a gross overstatement. We have God-given responsibilities to our marriage partner, our children, fellow-members in our local church, and so on. Yes, our relationship with Christ must take priority, and other loyalties must be subject to it. “Let nothing between.” But it is wrong to advocate that we “let everything else go.”

Thank you for your inputs.
Of course, dedicating our life Christ completely,
but still wisely and responsibly doing what He has trusted to us, including those around.
